THA THANG:

Mosey to KTT for some timed ¼ BOMBS.  Caveat was that the average time for the 12 and the 6 had to under YHC’s declared time or 3x penalty Groiners for each second that we missed time.

MOLESKIN:
It had been a minute since we (I) had been on the Trail so I stuck with an oldie but goodie workout but added the time limits to which there was much chatter.  With the first ¼ limit set at 88 seconds, the PAX made time but times generally went up from there.  We missed on three ¼’s to which YHC issued penalty Groiners, however, we ran late on the return trip up the trail given YHC pushed for an extra ½ mile and two of the penalty sets were combined and performed in the parking lot when we returned.  A total of 39 penalty Groiners were assessed, but that was only because YHC allowed democracy to rule (and a fear of DFib having a coronary) when setting time limits.  A couple of IR’s were thrown in to give the PAX a blow.  Overall a good workout was had by all and DFeb made it back safe and healthy, even thanking YHC for the push!

To prepare for this AM YHC asked Rump Roast last night what he wanted to work on and he said he was looking for a leg day. YHC thought hard about that and thought that a modified Murph would be able to get the job done

maybe it was the debate on distance, maybe it was the long warmup, maybe it was because 2 lunges take longer to complete than 1 pullup, maybe it was because 4 laps was really was longer than a mile, but no PAX completed the modified Murph

I let Rump pick the first 30 minutes of music (rap, because what else does Rump listen to?) but after a song with particularly explicit lyrics I switched it up to Beach Music (aka a shitty version of Motown) for the last 15, was a huge motivator for me to finish reps and get back to running.

Divide into three groups and start with a 3x5x3 (5 pull ups with the other two groups doing squats and step ups, wait for the pull ups to finish to rotate).

Mosey to the bleachers for a coupon Dirty McDeuce (Curls, Bent over rows, Dips, Upright rows) with a run across the field and back in between rounds.

Ab work – LBC x20, Uptown Crunch x12 each leg, Penguin crunch x15, Flutter kicks x15, Homer to Marge with some Rosalita and Low Dolly added in.

Finish with 10 Burpees and a few squats since we had a minute left.

MOLESKIN:
There was some relief when YHC announced there would be no rifle carry or squat thrusters during the beatdown after all the fun of IronPax last week. Shifty defended his dad’s honor by telling Bleep to “can it old man” which got some chuckles. Overall, a good time had at the beat down and hopefully it didn’t destroy anyone for IronPax tomorrow.

Topics of conversation covered who’d you want to see 5 days in a row, Pepper was high on the list, but I’d love to see anyone 5 days in a row these days…Iron PAX cheaters and the shoulder/quad obsessed Greenwood PAX…who would be on the F3 Dallas All-Star Ruck team (where were you this AM F150??)…the meeting Oatmeal and I need to have with the M’s so we can make show up on the same day and make the Lindsley Park AO a reality

Red Barchetta – run 1/4 of the way down, 25 merkins, run back. Then run 1/2 way down, 50 squats, run back. Run 3/4 of the way down, 75 Mountain Climbers, run back. Run all the way down, 100 SSHs, then run back.

Finished it up with some forward and backwards arm circles, as well as some burpees.

MOLESKIN:
I could probably write on this for a while but a lot of the stuff was just some of those “had to be there” moments. The #mumblechatter was at an all time high this morning. Lots of chatter about the IPC and what it is doing to physically destroy your body…..we also hyped it up more than normal because Agnes hadn’t done it and is preparing to do it tomorrow. Island Time with the jokes this morning had everyone buckled over. The normal chatter that comes from Rump Roast always makes the PAX feel welcome. Bleep was finishing something during MARY but we still aren’t exactly sure what was going on over there in his little space. Shifty was going along for the ride and had a great time.  We all learned Agnes likes a hot dog coming in hot off the gill. I’ve never heard so much chatter about hot dogs and what does/doesn’t go into making them. I bet we spend 20 minutes on the “hot dog” conversation.  The original plan was to meet up with the KTT guys but after seeing the track closed we “made it up on the fly”. Thanks to all PAX who made it this morning!

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM: YHC thanked the PAX for always being a positive influence.  Often life makes us face difficult choices that require a sacrifice and having F3 and to help us all stay accountable and support those decision is invaluable. 

MOLESKIN:
It was a hot morning with solid showing if 13 PAX.  YHC noticed the tennis courts were already occupied so we Omaha’d to the field and completed out motivators there.  This Omaha was not a welcomed one.  We then Mosey’d to the Pit of misery (aka Caruth Hall) and did our Dirty Mcduece.  YHC was feeling gassed and counting a lot to which the PAX joked about some of YHC’ questionable sounding numbers.  YHC was feeling spent, and based on the mumble chatter it seemed like the rest of the PAX was too, I Omaha’d once again and went to the Turner Centennial Quadrangle rather than the originally planed SMU quad.  The running distance for the Dora was a lot smaller here and I for one was grateful.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM: YHC thanked the group for coming out and for helping to keep him accountable and encouraged the PAX to continue to keep that up.

MOLESKIN: We mosey’d to the sand volleyball court right away and a little realization amongst the PAX set in that we were all about to get real sandy.  As soon as SSH started there was some groans and laughs as we learned how different this workout would feel on the uneven sand.  The bear crawls quickly were not a PAX favorite to at one point Icebox yelled “Did you think about this at all when you wrote this workout down?”. At  the end of the workout came all the mumble chatter about how to remove the sand without getting all over the PAX cars and houses.  YHC is wondering if any of the PAX actually used a hose as mentioned.  Also, Tclaps to resident DJ Icebox for the spring break playlist that brought back a lot of memories.
