The Dog Whisperer

COUNT-OFF & NAME-O-RAMA:
PAX: Ina, Mile High, Sally with Roxie
QIC: Coach K, but more so Ina

AO: Flag Pole Hill

THA THANG:
We walked places, did some squats

MOLESKIN:
Sally was a smidge late but finally tracked the rest of us down about 10 mins in giving us our lone Mutt of MRM. PAX were given a glimpse into YHCs mysterious past when asked about his obsession/knowledge of dogs. I grew up huntin’ and training dogs for both retrieving my dinner and running in huntin’ trials. We discussed the common misconception that Mile High is from Denver…different type of club everyone, a much more exclusive club at that. Ina is a monster who ran a 5k and half-marathon this weekend and still showed up to Ruck (in shorts of course).

As promised, YHC brought some cookies for the PAX. Little known fact, YHC loves to cook.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. Get your votes in for the HH this Friday. Wives, SOs, and single women friends all invited
2. Capture the Flag / Bomb Q this Saturday. YHC needs people to show up again to make it happen, so commit now

Double the Miles Double the Fun

COUNT-OFF & NAME-O-RAMA:
PAX: Ina, Oatmeal, Pepper
QIC: Alright Alright

AO: Flag Pole Hill
F3 WELCOME & DISCLAIMER:

THA THANG:
Run 5 miles

YHC, Pepper – 7:18 pace
Ina, Oatmeal – 7:37 pace

MOLESKIN:
It was a cold morning, but the PAX all got off to a hot start with a 7:09 first mile. We all dialed things back a little bit from there. The hills were as treacherous as ever, if not more, after all 4 of the PAX were sore from workouts over the weekend.

There was not much mumblechatter as we were all either frozen or sucking wind throughout the run.

None of us could have run these times solo, but we all pushed each other to be faster. That’s what F3 is all about.

Not Just Finance Mutt Ruck

PAX: Mile High & Rump Roast

QIC: Icebox (Maverick)

MOLESKIN:

Mile High was really the Q since I don’t know any routes around Flag Pole Hill Park and killed it with the navigation skills. He was quick to point out that he and the Roast are the only ones not in finance #diversity

Rump Roast showed 300% improvement from a couple months ago, T Claps to you sir! In case anyone has a pet pig it’s okay for the Roast to meet them, he will not try to sell them as merchandise.

Great getting to know you guys better, hope to see more of you for future rucks!

Feel the Bern

COUNT-OFF & NAME-O-RAMA:
PAX: Ina, Oatmeal, Sally

Repeato for three rounds

DORA – PAX 1 runs halfway down the hill and back. PAX 2 is working on reps
100 Merkins, 200 LBCs, 300 Squats

One last Bernie Sanders up Flag Pole Hill because I’m a disagreeable Q

MARY:
Flutter Kicks, Uptown Crunch, WWII SUs

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
Oo-de-Lally prayed out the group.

MOLESKIN:
Why YHC continues to Q with stitches in his hand is an anomaly because it means more legs, and running backwards up the largest hill in Dallas (which isn’t saying much) is the best way to build those tree-trunk quads. Not too much mumblechatter as the runs were a little tougher than originally expected. YHC had to modify the distance part way through.

Ina and Oatmeal wouldn’t let YHC refer to himself as “Old Man Douglass” without plenty of comments about “if you hurt now just wait.” Oatmeal was the only PAX not to shed layers through the workout while Ina was in short sleeves all around completely unphased. Sally kept trying to up the distance of running despite the 3 mile stair day completed just yesterday.

All-in-all it was fun to have a bunch of kotters back out (YHC included) for the ruck and #doubletime

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. YHC is Qing an Amazing Race themed workout this Saturday if enough people show up. Last attempt resulted in 4 PAX posting, so embrace your inner-competitive spirit and come out to Burleson.
2. Next Happy Hour scheduled for 12/14

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:

MOLESKIN:
Great run.  Fellowship was good for the first mile or so, then both PAX began saving all oxygen and energy for running.

Pretty obvious where the big climbs were on the run.  Miles 2 and 5 were absolutely killer.

Ina ran this one 35 seconds/mile faster than his last #Doubletime.

Running with other men makes you run faster.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. Get your shirt orders in.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
Small while we waited for the #ruckers.  Sally had to hustle to work.

MOLESKIN:
Both PAX complained of dead/sore legs from Saturday’s #legday beatdown.  Plus One really killed us.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. Shirt orders opening soon

2. Q of the Year Final Four starts tomorrow with Icebox vs. Special Sauce at Glencoe Park at 0530.  It continues on Wednesday with YHC vs. Spread at Caruth Park at 0545.

Rainy Veterans Day Ruck

PAX: Ultra, Rump Roast, OSHA (FNG)
QIC: Ant Man

AO: Flag Pole Hill

THA THANG:
2.54 Mile Ruck in 54 Mins (with a little bit of accidental overtime). It was tough to get out of the fart sack this morning but definitely worth it. QIC tried to come up with an excuse to go directly to Dallas Diner but AlrightAlright was there to call him out. Remember our workouts are held rain or shine, heat or cold.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
QIC prayed us out and thanked all of the veterans past and present for their service.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Come out tomorrow and Wednesday for the Q of the Year competition.

MOLESKIN:
Ant Man was a late arrival, but PAX were happy to have another mutter rucker.  Chatter about upcoming election and junk texts received by various candidates for office.  PAX were inspired/startled by random patron praying loudly in the park at end of journey.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

MOLESKIN:
4 men gathered in the gloom on a Monday morning for the inaugural Doubletime. The idea behind Doubletime is that the group will run a similar route to their rucking brothers, but will try to complete the route twice.
