MOLESKIN:
Grumbling began immediately when YHC called for a mosey to the track. The only explanation can be is that Slippy’s track workouts of late have given the track a bad reputation. Anyways, every lap around the track was in memory of every donut that Bleep consumed during the Krispy Kreme Challenge. After 1 mile Phelps was ready to call it a day but YHC had other plans. After 2 impressively fast relays PAX moseyed back to the parking lot where YHC tortured everyone with a drawn out MARY until 0615.

THA THANG:

Mosey to Quad for the Doomsday Clock for approximately 40 minutes:

Making use of the 12 spokes (sidewalks) out from the fountain, YHC had PAX perform the following rotating around each spoke like clockwork. 

  1. 10 Pam Andersons (burpee nippler)

  3. 30 V Ups
  4. 40 Merkins
  5. 50 Rugby Situps
  6. 60 Gorilla Squats
  7. 70 Mountain Climbers (x2)

Following each set of exercises, PAX ran the length of spoke, performed burpees x station number (total of 78 burpees) and ran back to fountain (hub) to start next station.  An exception was made following gorilla squats and OH presses, where PAX bear crawled the length of the spoke and back.  

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
YHC prayed us out.  YHC challenged the PAX to seek the input of each of their M’s about F3.  There has been a theme lately from several of us whose M’s have not held F3 in the highest regard for various reasons, which means that we and much more, I, have failed to properly bring back the tenets of the life-changing organization back to my home.  I challenged the PAX to bring back the feedback and vowed to create more 2F events that include the M’s and 2.0’s as we begin to emerge from Covid prison.  

MOLESKIN:

YHC had the thought to roll this oldie out after not having completed it in over a year.  Many new PAX that had not felt the burn of the Doomsday Clock so why not!  PAX were spread around the circle and YHC heard several conversations (this tells me there is much more effort to be put forth if one can carry on a park walk chat).  YHC received several complaints and groans, but only one emphatic “FU” from Rump so I will assume that he is getting stronger and the workout isn’t a cake walk since it seemed to gas most everybody else.  TClaps to Classified and Special Sauce.  Classified kept a weight vest on the entire time.  This workout sucks without added weight.  Sauce brought a speaker and playlist with minimal notice.

I’m not going to lie, I just came up with all of that workout on the fly and I don’t have the it written down but here’s my best recollection of what we did

Warmup: the usual, SSHs, ISTs, hillbillies, veggie pickers, don quixote

YHC was having some challenges connecting to Bleep’s fancy blue tooth speaker (t claps Bleep for bringing!) Rump Roast was asked to get the workout started…he was a lil slow on the uptake so YHC quickly took the reigns back over…a lot of moaning during the veggie pickers and hillbillies, sounds like the PAX didn’t do any self care after TID18K

Mosey to the field with blocks

Because this was club rehab I prefaced the lap by saying if you didn’t have it in you to do SSHs, mountain climbers, or anything else to keep the body moving but turns out we’re a bunch of stubborn assholes and all ran a lap

Bicep block work of 21s, slow curls up, slow curls down, upright rows

Core block of jackknifes, LBCs, Freddy Mercury’s, uptown crunches, flutter kicks, box cutters, heels to heaven, rosalitas

Repeato the run, bicep, core

Repeato again, throw in some Pilate leg action, a few burpees, lil baby arm circles

Meatball called YHC out that we only ran 3 laps at 6:14 so I told him he had 60 seconds to get one more in, he did but a lot of other PAX tried to be hero’s and took considerably longer than 60 seconds and caused us to go over time by a few minutes

Seemed like a decent amount of mumblechatter throughout but YHC was counting a inordinate amount but hope y’all feel like you got some good core and will be beach ready in now time!

What a way to celebrate… Yesterday way my 18th wedding anniversary and I decided to take it out on the PAX! (Joking, I’m a very lucky man to have an amazing wife that’s put up with me for as long as she has. Hoping I’ll grow up eventually)

Anyway, while I was STOKED to get Sally back out even if it was just a guest appearance, I was let down that my man Special Sauce and the #subarumafia were all MIA.  Was a ton of mumble chatter during the warm-up to the point I really don’t know how many IST’s we really did… Did anyone actually count?

I had planned to do 50 total OYO Burpees by the time we started the Balboa but, saved the last 20 for the end before we moseyed back to the start. There was some grumbling from AA that the double count lunges was a little too much. So once he was done with all of them I Omaha’d to move on to the Big Boi Sit-ups. I think that was about as far as we got before time was up. Slushii & Bleep FINALLY showed up at like 0550 or some where really close to the end but, honestly I was just glad to see them. More than I can say for someone…. 

Overall, it was a great turnout, I believe a record attendance for 2ndCT. Way to push yourself men. Thank you all for making me a better version of me.

MOLESKIN:
Bleep started the nonsense of trying to exceed “700 cals” during the 45min workout. YHC took that as a challenge and started the PAX off with a bang out of the gate with burpees. The warmup consisted of a mile of running and 5 exercises increasing by 5 reps starting with 10. YHC heard the usual compliments of Rump Roast but after the second lap YHC didn’t hear any mumblechatter from Rump. Sound Machine stayed strong and didn’t modify but understood his limits. Good to have DFib and Aaarrrggghh back out there to keep the mumblechatter high. The #westside is happy to see the return of Special Sauce after a birthday beatdown over the weekend. The sexiest of all panthers, our very own Sex Panther, was back in the saddle again after getting some recovery rest. Quite a bit of mumblechatter about the playlist but was strange that everyone sang along the entire 45min. Special Sauce also made the recommendation that YHC make the playlist for the 6 mile ruck during TID18k. Watch out DJ Icebox! This wasn’t the beatdown we all wanted but it was the beatdown we all deserved.

Wow, what a salty group this morning.  Workout started very mundane with the farmer carries/abyss merkins although I did get a personal “FU” from Rump to kick start the morning as we were rounding second!  Once we transitioned to the 11’s the real fun started.  The moans and groans started almost immediately with the first round of Cusaks and it went downhill from there as YHC exacted punishment if blocks were lowered during Cusaks and after what seemed to be half the PAX dropping their coupons after the first Cusak walk, YHC added more punishment for each block that hit the ground.  Finally fed up with the pain, the Salt King of the morning, Rump Roast, began to give the PAX lessons in shot putting as he routinely heaved his coupon to get a rest from carrying it overhead.  This elicited many choice words from the PAX as the man makers began to add up.  YHC ended the pain early and we made the mosey to the tennis courts where I practiced some reverse psychology on the PAX by allowing them to vote on whether to continue using the coupons.  The vote went in favor of continuing so I allowed them to drop the coupons and we proceeded to our suicides sans coupons.

The running was foreign to most of the West Siders but they adapted to the small amount that YHC presented.  Overall, it appears the workout was a favorite…especially on the Rump Scale.

Life Boat came strolling up from the dark and Slushii and I both thought for a second it was Ultra. AS he got closer we bot could tell it wasn’t but could tell neither of us knew who it was. Bleep complained the whole time how awful Coffee Park so, I decided to go run towards Caruth. At the second intersection, Bleep pulls the Joker, 50 Burpees OYO boys! He cussed me the whole rest of the morning that the “deck was loaded”! Was it tho Bleep? I guess you’ll never really know…

There was enough time for some mumble chatter this morning yet, I felt like we kept it moving and the activity level was high most of the workout. The Gambler was like a wild caged animal running between blocks with a blistering Alright Alright-ish pace. I think it’s noteworthy that Sex Panther was late to the workout and left early due to clearing the mechanism!

Pretty normal day for the most part, I hear Dfib comment on the lap that we’d already done more running than he expected. Then the rain started and while it was fairly steady it wasn’t too bad until the Big Boi Sit-ups. Not only was there water standing on the tennis court by that time it start coming down in buckets. Everyone seemed to have a good time and I heard Slushii report he got 3mi. I got 2.72 so a pretty good day.
