Circle of Trust: 6 Years is a long time.  I’ve grown a lot in that time.  I’ve gotten stronger and faster, but more importantly, I’ve become a better leader and a better man.  Thank you all for pushing me to improve everyday.

My story is the same as almost all of our F3 brothers.  The Fitness was the magnet that brought me in.  The Fellowship is the glue that won’t let me get away.  The Faith (a belief in something greater than myself) is the dynamite that will allow us to have an impact on the community around us.  This is where our focus needs to be.  We must do a better job of having a positive impact on the city that we all love.  That starts with growing our forces.  We can change Dallas, Texas and the United States one man at a time.  It is time for us to start taking this responsibility and OPPORTUNITY seriously.  Give it away. Now.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
YHC completely forgot to pray us out.

MOLESKIN:
YHC put this together knowing it would be challenging to the PAX, but as always underestimated the pain involved.  I believe the step ups were the crowd favorite followed by the squat box thrusters!  Fortunately, there were no banged shins today!  PAX were indignant with YHC as I spent a good 10-15 mins of the workout EH’ing a passerby who, for the record, spoke to me first.  As an always accelerating HIM, I could not pass up the opportunity to spread the F3 gospel.  There was a question of whether today’s workout would be 45 minutes or an hour to which YHC offered an hour when the 45 minutes was up.  There were no takers, however I was challenged to take another lap to make up for my EH lollygag.  I asked for volunteers to keep me company and again was rebuffed.  YHC also apologizes for the COT lapse today!

PAX: Alright Alright, Draper, Icebox, Maverick, Oatmeal, Plus One, PowPow, Rabbit

8 PAX gathered at 0600 for some serious extra credit.  YHC told them ahead of time that it would be a cardio heavy beatdown and it did not disappoint.  The mumblechatter was minimal as most of us were trying to conserve energy/survive the beatdown.  Here’s how it went:

At the corner of Lovers and Hillcrest: Lunges – 400 as a team

At Caruth: Imperial Storm Troopers – 600 as a team

At Coffee Park: Merkins – 800 as a team

At Caruth Park: 1000 Plank Jacks as a team

At Lovers: 1200 Squats as a team

Native American run back to Burleson Park

The Thang:
Mosey to the benches by the fountain
– 10x Erkins (IC, DC)
– 10x Squats (IC, DC)
– 10x Derkins (IC, DC)
– 10x Alternating Step-Ups (IC, DC)

Reap-O 3x… I was thinking this was a Dirty McDuece but, without looking it up that it may be 4-sets. Either way, the Double count was ambitious and none of us would have completed the 4th set!

Mosey to the Quad

I’m going this workout Bear Crawl Dora!
We partnered up and did –

100x Merkins
200x Overhead Claps
300x Squats

While one PAX did the exercises the other bear crawled across the center grass of the Quad, and across the sidewalk and back. We ran out of time on Squats, I believe Teasip and Shifty were in the 200’s and Bleep and myself we at 200 even. Moseyed back to the launch point

Circle of Trust (CoT):
YHC prayed us out

Playlist:
No music this morning

Moleskin:
I was extra motivated this morning for Shifty to give the disclaimer and lead the Warm-O-Rama. We had to prompt him a little on the disclaimer but did a great job. It wasn’t too far into my portion that Teasip proclaimed that he wished Shifty would have Q’d the entire work out! As soon as we started moseying to the benches it was clear my knee was hurting more than it has been. After the first set of step-ups I wanted to go home. So I modified my original idea of Jacobs Ladder to Dora Bear Crawl and I will tell you…. Between 200 Merkins the other day, @Arrrghhhhs beat down yesterday, 100x Burpees yesterday, and the Dirty McDuece it sucked! Everyone agreed! @Bleep announced that he officially hates Bear Crawling! Teasip on more than one occasion had some choice words, and even Shifty proclaimed this work out was the dumbest idea EVER! I took them all as a compliment! No doubt we ALL got better today. #acceleration #isi #giveitaway

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
YHC prayed us out.

MOLESKIN:
As is typical for YHC’s workouts (at least in his own mind) the workout was much rougher than it appeared on paper.  Mumble chatter commenced during the corner work but quickly dissipated once on the tennis courts and the groiners commenced.  The suicides slowly morphed into mall-walk suicides as the PAX and YHC hit E on the gas tank.  Balls to the wall proved to be a growth area for PAX.  Any additional reps would have provided some lucky plastic a nice South Pacific vacation!  Burpee suicide proved to be the regular crowd favorite, one that even YHC contemplated an Omaha.  Parking lot work introduced the PAX to a couple of new exercises and YHC sends his thanks to our resident safety patrol, Sex Panther, for suggesting that we not crawl across the entire parking lot given the construction crews coming to work.  Therefore, we went across only one section of the lot.  Some finish up Mary where I think Bleep took a nap with his legs at 12” above the ground.  The soft top is back open again, AlrightAlright has an old, familiar place to plant his Starbucky tailbone once again!

We were all gassed when we hit time, YHC did his job!

THA THANG:
Mosey with coupon to field to commence Jacob’s Ladder starting with coupon merkins (10) on one end and coupon lunges on the other (1).  Drag coupon backwards 40 yards between sets.

Omaha was called several sets in to change up the coupon drag to a 40 yard Cusak walk following the lunges.

PAX made their way to bleachers for a little modified DMcD of the following:

12 SC step and press ups (with coupon)

12 SC derkins on the block

12 SC irkins on the block

With the remaining time YHC, on the blind suggestion of Slushii, took the PAX to the tennis courts where we bear-crawl painted the lines of half a court.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
YHC prayed us out.

MOLESKIN:

A bit unusual for a Thursday, but we met at Glencoe since there was a curfew in place in most of downtown Dallas and more importantly Park Cities where our normal Thursday AO is located.  The Katy Trail crew joined us for warm up and then sprinted out before the warm up was completed.

For those of us remaining, the raucous cheers began almost instantly when I announced the coupon drags as part of our Jacob’s Ladder.  Several PAX quickly modified as there were moans about backs, knees and the like.  YHC somewhat acquiesced to the crying early on and Omaha’ed out of a block drag for one stretch and into a Cusak walk to save on some lower backs.  This Jacob’s Ladder was truly a crowd favorite!

YHC instructed PAX to head to bleachers where we commenced a modified DMcD with the blocks.  Following one set, YHC turned Monty Hall (look it up millennials) and offered PAX more DMcD or what was behind Door #2.  Slushii took the lead and blurted out he wanted Door #2 so YHC took the PAX to the tennis courts where we had just enough time to paint the lines of half a court bear crawl style!

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM: With all social conversations happening the past week, YHC asked the PAX to do a lot of listening and to hear from people who have had experiences that are different than ours.  We should also be looking at out own lives and language we use to push ourselves to really ask if we are being the best allies we can.  Full disclosure my COT was not as eloquent as I wanted which the PAX informed me, but the message came through which is what we do best at F3.  Learn, Listen, and be better leaders.

MOLESKIN: It was a very warm and muggy morning which the PAX mentioned multiple times.  While I wished more of the PAX showed up, YHC was pleased that we had 6 so we could attempt the double Dora.  Overall worked well with a lot of mumble chatter about the amount of Merkins.  After the double Dora the PAX moseyed to Fondren Library steps, but there was someone taking graduation pictures so we moseyed to Blanton Student Services Building.  The sun was beating down on the PAX which made this routine even harder.  Challenging morning for the PAX and we all got better.
