2.84 mile Ruck | 15:33 Pace | 43 minutes

COUNT-OFF & NAME-O-RAMA:
PAX: Coach K, Shake Weight
QIC: F150

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
YHC attended an funeral this weekend of a lady at his church who had served faithfully for 65 year in children’s Sunday school. She had a legacy of being one that talked about Jesus every week and loved kids. Who are you have an impact on today?

MOLESKIN:
When the PAX assembled this wet gloom we were invaded upon at our normal rally point by those other workout people…who carry yoga mats and their towel to keep the sweat from dripping off them. Coach K and YHC were not too impressed nor did we like that they could not handle working out in the light rain that had fallen before 0530. So we headed out with Shake Weight and commenced to set and try our best to maintain a 15 min pace. We broke at the 1 mile mark and did a series of 10 Merkins and 10 Squats and then we were off again.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
Praying for Podcast’s friend and their baby. He is dealing with heart issues, but the parents were finally able to take him home this week.

In full disclosure, I came up this workout with the sole intention of creating a situation where I didn’t have to talk to anyone at 0530 on a Friday. I knew it’d split up the group and be too cardio intensive for people to get a word in on a morning I really wanted to be alone. While I keep to myself and (according to some PAX) silently judge people, I am grateful to have y’all around. I don’t show up in the mornings for the workouts; I do it to be around y’all. It’s been a long ass year since I moved trying to adjust, but y’all’re definitely one of the best things to happen. Glad to be a part of this for however much longer I’m around. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to lock these feelings back in a box where they belong…not sure how they got out.

MOLESKIN:
YHC brought back his infamous bridge workout for his one year F3 anniversary Q. While nothing compared to the 200 burpees, it’s definitely a ball buster. With no bridge in sight, we took to the garage for the circuit. YHC did contemplate running over to Mockingbird Station, which is only 1 mile away but spared the PAX on this rainy Saturday.

YHC was once again honored to have Pepper post to YHCs Q and not any of AlrightAlright’s 3 this week (even though one was originally his but minor details). It’s not a competition, but I like to point it out anyways.

Early mumblechatter about the legs being dead after those Bonnie Blairs. There is still a lot of debate on the validity of the 16 min ironpax times, but to each their own. We debated doing it on Saturday next week just to have a day to recover afterwards.

Teasip and I had some great second F time during the thang while waiting for an even number to show up. Most comments were directed at my previous Q, but I feel like those were deserved.

Not too much mumblechatter given the nature of the workout (see COT below) except for some comments and groans here and there as we all trudged along.

F150 made a good point in asking if anyone had heard from Eruzione since the indictment of the Russian spies. While he has been active on Band, we agreed it was a bot.

As promised, there were no burpees. But now with the Fort’s challenge, I think y’all’ll reevaluate my burpee Q.

5 PAX made it to Bubbas where Ant Man started off strong with some nice jabs at the Baylor crew. Discussed how to work the system in getting out of household chores and Oo-De-Lally’s old maid Marla (probably make a great F3 name at some point). Otherwise, there was a lot of football talk as we’re all eagerly awaiting kickoff in a couple weeks.

MOLESKIN:
8 PAX (strongest Friday in a while) posted to complete this week’s #ironpaxchallenge. Pepper was not one of them.
– This beatdown was ridiculously tough. YHC almost splashed merlot.
– Most of the conversation was questioning the validity of sub-20 minute times posted nationwide. #Tclaps to the guys that have been able to pull that off though.
– Bonnie Blairs were even tougher than expected.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Happy Hour tonight at Ozona at 1730. No M’s. YHC thinks that’s what Oo-De-Lally eventually decided.

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:

MOLESKIN:
6 PAX gathered in the gloom this morning… none of whom were scheduled to Q. At 0530 YHC took the reins, but decided that we would warm up in the parking lot in case Pepper was running just a couple minutes behind. He was not, so we took off. With rain in the forecast and lightning visible YHC decided that it would be best to stay close to parking decks as opposed to completely facing the potential elements on the Katy Trail.

– All complaints about the workout should be directed to Pepper
– YHC wanted to get plenty of cardio in without crushing everyone’s legs the day before we complete the #ironpaxchallenge
– The PAX were pretty much silent for much of the #beatdown, so the cardio must have been sufficient.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
– #SecondF Happy Hour is tomorrow at 1730 at Ozona. Oo-De-Lally has made the not so executive decision to invite M’s, so bring your M’s and CBD’s.
– #IronPAXChallenge tomorrow at Germany Park at 0530

CIRCLE OF TRUST/BOM:
YHC took this opportunity to talk about a former F3 Winston-Salem brother who took his own life last week. He had fallen into serious depression and had stopped going to F3 months ago. YHC is not an expert on depression, but YHC knows that loneliness doesn’t help. The men of F3 Winston-Salem will always wonder how Hoser slipped through the cracks. This should be a reminder to us that we should constantly be leaning on guys to come back to F3 if they’ve been absent for a while. They need F3 for the fitness, but more importantly they need this brotherhood.

MOLESKIN:
– #kotters to splash and Spread after several weeks off.
– the PAX were pretty quiet during the running portions of the #beatdown
– we focused on core today because many of the PAX want to have fresh arms and legs for the #ironpaxchallenge on Friday. So far the fastest time in the nation is 20:45

YHC prayed us out, praying for the kids from the Young Life camp in Bulgaria

MOLESKIN:
Always good to be back with the guys who were quick to welcome YHC back with plenty of sass (particularly AlrightAlright and Coach K) when YHC was apparently not loud and clear enough during the announcement that the Step ups were alternating legs. Apparently there was quite the discussion about Canadian holidays and how they had one yesterday and that is why some of the PAX missed the description of the alternating leg Step Ups. An #omaha was called for DORA as the group had some concerns about the route taken around the tennis courts, so the route was adjusted to be on the well lit path to the basketball court before taking on the potentially treacherous grass between the basketball court and playground. Some grumbling about the lack of single counting on Irkins, so YHC may take that into consideration the next time he decides to do a Dirty McDeuce for his Q. Overall a good day and happy to back with the guys after a week off.
